LABELPLANE / GUIDE
Print a PDF label at 4x6 or A6
For an existing PDF downloaded from a marketplace such as Vinted or eBay, start with the original file. If the service offers the paper size your printer needs, choose that first. Labelplane does not buy postage or generate valid shipping labels.
From a full sheet to a label
- Save the PDF. A screenshot can make a barcode blurry, and enlarging it cannot restore missing detail.
- Choose the file in Labelplane. Files are read in this browser; there is no account connection.
- Draw a crop around the complete label. Retain the full address, all barcodes and their surrounding white space. Use the percentage fields to refine it.
- Rotate the page if needed. Review every included page. Applying a crop to matching page sizes does not mean their content has the same layout.
- Choose 4x6 inches or A6. They differ: 4x6 is 101.6 x 152.4 mm; A6 is 105 x 148 mm. Select what the printer or label stock actually supports.
- Build and open the print PDF. Content is fitted proportionally and centered; white space can remain.
At the printer
Match the paper size to the exported PDF. Use Actual size or 100%, rather than shrinking a whole A4 page to fit a sticker. Disable browser headers and footers. Printer dialogs differ, so check the preview and a single physical test print.
The two-per-sheet option rotates each label onto A4 or US Letter without changing its physical size. Print that sheet at 100%; do not select 4x6 stock for an A4 export.
What this cannot check
A readable screen preview is not a carrier scan test. The tool cannot certify postage, addresses, barcode quality or printer calibration. Some label designs are incompatible with a particular stock size. Use your carrier's original label instructions when in doubt.
Cropping changes the visible area; it is not secure redaction. Original off-crop content may remain in the PDF. Do not use this to remove private information before publicly sharing a document.
